OUR PROCESS

YOUR LOCAL ADVANTAGE
At Owens & Mulherin, you will speak to our attorneys at the time of your initial phone call, as opposed to paralegals or case managers. Many firms have case managers answer their phones and emails. Case managers often have little to no legal training but are administrative personnel.
We will also give you an honest opinion about whether we think you have a claim or not. Many firms do not want to take the time and effort to give you the information and opinion that you need. Instead, they have boilerplate responses when they do not want to accept a claim, such as saying that they are too busy. Of course, personal injury attorneys are never too busy to accept a good case. We are happy to answer your questions and to give you some peace of mind about your situation, whether we would be happy to represent you or why we cannot.
Our only office is here in Savannah, GA and is open five days a week. We have an answering service for after hours, and that service will contact us directly if you call regarding a new case so that we can speak to your after hours, including weekends. If we are unavailable to take your call, we will call you back as soon as possible and not wait for the next work day.
Our attorneys live in Savannah, GA and nowhere else! We know the local courts, opposing counsel, and are familiar with verdicts and settlements in this area. This gives us an advantage in evaluating your claim because this is our home turf.

AN EXTRA STEP
If an insurance company or big corporation chooses not to play fair, we won’t hesitate to take them to court. At this stage of an injury claim, we know the stakes are high. That’s why our firm often goes to the extra expense of hiring a medical illustrator to create illustrations of our clients’ injuries.
Accompanied by x-rays and other diagnostic tests, these colorful pieces of evidence help jurors and insurance adjusters understand the extent of the injuries our clients are facing after an accident.
